Michael Manning joins the Albany Stags as Head Coach of the 2034 team, bringing energy, leadership, and a strong foundation built through years as a collegiate athlete and multi-sport coach. A Burnt Hills native, Manning is committed to developing well-rounded student-athletes who compete with discipline, integrity, and confidence.
A graduate of Springfield College, Manning played five seasons with the men’s lacrosse program, contributing as an LSM and defender from 2020–2025. During his career, he helped lead a defensive unit that reached two NEWMAC Finals and upheld Springfield’s tradition of toughness, teamwork, and competitive excellence. He earned both his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and his Master’s degree in Health Education, shaping his holistic approach to coaching and teaching.
Manning currently serves as a Middle School Physical Education teacher in the Johnstown School District, where he also coaches football, basketball, and lacrosse. His multi-sport coaching background enhances his ability to teach fundamentals, build athlete confidence, and create a positive, team-first environment.
Coach Manning is excited to lead the Stags 2034 team, helping each player grow their skills, compete with purpose, and reach their full potential on and off the field.
