Team 2028

HEAD COACH: LIAM GUITON

Liam Guiton is a dedicated lacrosse coach with extensive experience at both the collegiate and club levels, known for his passion for player development, fundamentals, and team culture. Currently, Liam serves as an Assistant Coach under Head Coach Scott Marr at the University at Albany men’s lacrosse program (NCAA Division I), where he works closely with student-athletes on defensive strategy, skill development, and game preparation. He also contributes to our club team, mentoring young athletes in skill development, lacrosse IQ, and leadership.


Previously, Liam spent three seasons as Defensive Coordinator at Skidmore College (NCAA Division III), helping lead the team to 24 victories while implementing strong defensive systems. He also served as an Assistant Coach at The College of Saint Rose (NCAA Division II), assisting with practices, conditioning, recruiting, and fostering a positive team environment.


As a player, Liam was a standout goalie at The College of Saint Rose, earning USILA/Nike Third-Team All-American honors and Northeast-10 Conference Goalie of the Year, while finishing as the program’s all-time career saves leader.


Liam’s coaching philosophy centers on teaching the game the right way, building confident and disciplined athletes, and inspiring a lifelong love of lacrosse. Whether coaching at the club, high school, or collegiate level, he emphasizes fundamentals, teamwork, and developing strong leaders on and off the field.

ASSISTANT COACH: RICH ABERLE

Rich Aberle is a dedicated lacrosse coach with a strong passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field. He previously served as the Head Coach at Hudson Valley Community College, where he led the program with a focus on skill development, team culture, and competitive excellence.


Currently, Rich is an Assistant Coach at Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) High School, where he continues to mentor and guide young athletes in building lacrosse skills, lacrosse IQ, and leadership both on and off the field. Known for his attention to detail and commitment to fundamentals, he emphasizes hard work, accountability, and creating a positive, competitive team environment.


Rich’s coaching philosophy centers on teaching the game the right way while fostering a lifelong love for lacrosse and helping players grow as athletes and leaders.

Our 2028 team trains with a high-energy, development-focused practice schedule designed to build strong fundamentals, sharpen lacrosse IQ, and elevate overall performance. Players will work through skill development, position-specific training, gameplay concepts, and full-speed competitive reps — all led by experienced Stags coaches dedicated to helping each athlete grow.
