Rob Berju brings more than 35 years of coaching experience to the lacrosse field, spanning youth, middle school, and high school levels. A Long Island native, Berju attended Division Avenue High School in Levittown, NY from 1984–1987 before continuing his education at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he studied from 1987–1991.
Throughout his coaching career, Berju has been deeply committed to growing the game and building strong, sustainable programs. He spent over 15 years with the Levittown Tomahawk Youth Lacrosse program, serving as Program Director and playing a key role in player development and program leadership.
In 2021, Berju became the Varsity Boys Lacrosse Head Coach at Johnstown High School, where he continues to lead the Sir Bills with an emphasis on fundamentals, discipline, and team culture. That same year, he also took on the role of Program Director for the Johnstown Youth Lacrosse League, helping strengthen the local lacrosse pipeline and expand opportunities for young athletes in the community.
Rob’s passion for the sport extends beyond coaching—he is also a proud lacrosse parent. All three of his children play the game: Abby (11th grade), Jenna (9th grade), and Will (8th grade). His long-standing dedication to lacrosse reflects a belief in the sport’s ability to teach leadership, accountability, and lifelong lessons on and off the field.
Casey Hennessey serves as an Assistant Coach for the 2030 team, bringing strong leadership and varsity-level experience to the program. Casey is currently the Varsity Head Coach of the Voorheesville, NY boys’ lacrosse team, where he is responsible for player development, game strategy, and building a competitive, team-first culture.
A former high school and collegiate lacrosse player, Casey brings firsthand playing experience that helps him connect with athletes and teach the game from a player’s perspective. Known for his emphasis on fundamentals, lacrosse IQ, and accountability, he works closely with young athletes to build sound skills and confidence on both ends of the field.
Casey’s coaching philosophy centers on teaching the game the right way—prioritizing effort, discipline, and long-term development—while fostering a positive, competitive, and fun environment.
Our 2030 team trains with a high-energy, development-focused practice schedule designed to build strong fundamentals, sharpen lacrosse IQ, and elevate overall performance. Players will work through skill development, position-specific training, gameplay concepts, and full-speed competitive reps — all led by experienced Stags coaches dedicated to helping each athlete grow.
