As the Recruiting Director for Albany Stags Lacrosse, Liam Guiton brings an elite level of collegiate experience and a proven track record of success to our athletes. A former USILA All-American and the all-time saves leader at the College of Saint Rose, Liam understands firsthand what it takes to perform at the highest level of college lacrosse. His transition from a decorated playing career to the coaching ranks—including impactful stints at Skidmore College and his current role at the University at Albany—has given him a unique, "behind-the-scenes" perspective on the recruitment process. Having served as a collegiate defensive coordinator and assistant coach right here in the Capital Region, Liam knows exactly what college coaches are looking for in a prospect and how to help players stand out in an increasingly competitive landscape.
In his role at Albany Stags, Liam serves as a dedicated mentor and strategist for our high school athletes, demystifying the path to the next level. He leverages our club’s specialized recruiting software to provide a data-driven, organized approach to player placement, ensuring that every athlete has a clear roadmap for outreach and exposure. By combining his deep network of collegiate contacts with cutting-edge technology, Liam helps families navigate everything from highlight film optimization to effective communication strategies with college coaches. His mission is to empower every Stags player to find their perfect collegiate fit, providing the same high-level guidance that has helped countless athletes achieve their dreams of playing college lacrosse.
