Don Shea
Our Coaching Director oversees the development, leadership, and consistency of our coaching staff across all Stags teams. Each team is led by a Head Coach and an Assistant Coach, with responsibilities split between offensive and defensive development to ensure focused, position-specific instruction. In addition, our program includes specialty coaches for key skill areas such as goalie training and faceoff development. The Coaching Director ensures all coaches follow a unified philosophy, deliver high-quality instruction, and provide every athlete with a structured, comprehensive, and positive lacrosse experience.
About Don Shea
Coach Don Shea, a Long Island native, began his playing career at national powerhouse St. Anthony’s High School before competing at the Division I level for Butler University. With more than 20 years of collegiate coaching experience, he currently serves as an assistant coach at Skidmore College and previously spent 14 years on staff at the University at Albany.
A founding member of the Stags program, Coach Shea has served as a Director since its inception and brings unmatched experience, leadership, and long-standing commitment to the development of our athletes and coaches.
