
Our Program Director oversees the full development and operation of the Albany Stags Lacrosse Club. They guide our coaching staff, ensure consistent player development, manage training and tryout structure, and maintain clear communication with families. The Program Director sets the tone for our club culture, coordinates events and tournaments, and ensures every athlete receives a positive, well-organized, and competitive lacrosse experience.
Liam Guiton serves as the Director of Stags Lacrosse and is currently an Assistant Coach for the University at Albany Men’s Lacrosse program. An elite former goaltender at Springfield College, Liam’s playing career was highlighted by being named a USILA First-Team All-American and the NEWMAC Player of the Year. His daily experience coaching at the Division I level under legendary head coach Scott Marr allows him to bring a professional standard and cutting-edge defensive expertise directly to the Stags program.
In addition to his role as Director, Liam serves as the Head Coach of the 2028 team and acts as the Recruiting Director for the entire club. In this capacity, he provides Stags players with a direct bridge to the collegiate level, offering expert guidance on the recruiting landscape and the specific attributes college coaches look for in prospects. Under his leadership, Stags athletes benefit from a high-IQ, collegiate-style curriculum designed to prepare them for success at the high school and college levels.
